Rosé d'Anjou - Château de Fesles
SITUATION: In the heart of the Layon region, on a siliceous slope with a magnificent South - South West exposure.
GRAPE VARIETIES: Gamay 30% Grolleau 70%
SOIL COMPOSITION: Siliceous slope
VINIFICATION: Our Rosé wine is obtained by a short maceration (12 to 18 hours) in order to achieve maximum fruit extraction. A strict control of the temperature ensures a cool fermentation (13-15" C) and preserves the delicate aromas.
TASTING: Crystal clear with a salmon pink hue and a beautiful intensity. The bouquet is reminiscent of red berries (raspberries and strawberries). The palate is expressive, rich and aromatic with a hint of liquorice and toffee. The clear, fresh and tasty finish is balanced by a fine acidity.
DRINKING SUGGESTIONS: Best enjoyed at between 8 - 10 degrees Celsius. Accompanies deliciously appetizers, barbecues, mixed salads, sea-food, white meat and poultry as well as freshwater fish.
